JPEG uses lossy compression, so keep your originals. Adjust quality for the detail you need, then share, attach or upload your new JPG wherever it’s accepted.

A few quick answers.

Is this HEIC to JPG converter really free?

Yes. You can convert and download your photos without an account, subscription or watermark. There is no daily conversion quota. Each batch is limited to 30 files and 150 MB in total to help your browser stay responsive.

Do my photos leave my device?

No. Conversion runs locally in your browser. Your image files are not uploaded to our servers. Cloudflare delivers the website and processes normal connection information; see our privacy notice for details.

Will the image quality stay the same?

JPEG is a lossy format. The default 90% setting balances quality and size; a higher setting keeps more detail but usually creates a larger file. Even at 100%, conversion is not lossless. Colours can differ from HDR originals, and location, camera metadata and transparency are not preserved.

Can I convert several HEIC photos at once?

Yes. Choose up to 30 files, each no larger than 25 MB, with a 150 MB total batch limit. Images are processed one at a time to reduce memory use. Download individual JPGs or all successful results in a ZIP.

Does it work on iPhone, Mac and Windows?

Use a current version of Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox that supports WebAssembly. Available memory and file complexity affect conversion. If a large batch fails on a phone, try fewer files or a desktop browser.

What happens to Live Photos and multi-image files?

This tool creates one still JPG per file. It does not convert Live Photo video clips, animations, depth data or every image inside a multi-image HEIF container. Keep your originals if you need those features.

Why won’t my file convert?

The file may be damaged, unsupported, too large or require more memory than your browser can provide. Try one file at a time in an updated browser. Photos above 40 megapixels are not supported in this version. Changing a filename to .heic does not change its format.
